'The Sculptors' House' at the top end of the Grande Bourgade in Uzès, was owned by two sculptors in succession. Numerous original paintings and sculptures decorate the property. and It is just two minutes walk from the celebrated market square, la Place aux Herbes. Like many buildings in this conservation area, it is not easy to date, as new elements have been added at different periods. The original house was started in the 18th century. All the accommodation is upstairs, the ground floor serving as store room then garage. This latter space is not included in the rental.

The accommodation:

Up the stairs from the street you arrive in the main L shaped iiving space with its kitchen at one end, dining area in the centre and then the sitting room, the widest part, with its sliding windows, and door to the terrace, the whole width of the house.

Kitchen: gas/electric hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, separate freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, drier, and all the usual pots and pans.

Dining: pine buffet, long table which seats 8+ trolley

Sitting room: black leather sofa, divan, 2 wicker armchairs, coffee table, fireplace, tv, dvd player, music system, games cupboard, wifi, upright piano.

Terrace: a room sized deck with marble tables and parasol leads down to a shady courtyard.

1st floor bedroom: standard double bed, wardrobe, bedside table, bath/shower, handbasin. Tall windows onto the street.

A handmade wooden staircase leads to the upper floor:

'Children's bedroom: One standard single bed, one bed on stilts, chest of drawers, bedside table. Both beds suitable for adults. View over the roof of the living area below.

Bathroom: bath/shower, double handbasins, radiator, towel rack, cupboards under basins.

Master bedroom: 15m2, double bed, 2 chests of drawers, wardrobe, book shelves.
